Sigekiya - Yokohama's Ramen now in Estancia Mall!

Sigekiya Ramen - A franchise brought from Yokohama, Japan. After having 3 successful branches in the South (Commercenter, Vista mall Sta. Rosa and South Woods). They finally decided to open another branch now in the East, specifically in Estancia Mall in Capitol Commons, Pasig City.

I've tried several Japanese restaurants and I may say I'm more into their rice bowls rather the ramen bowls they offer. I eat ramen whenever I'm just not in the mood for it. Sigekiya follows the look of the one originally in Japan that has vibrant posters that are plastered all over the place. A ramen bar on one side, allowing customers to get a peek of their food being prepared.

Together with my foodie friends from the East visited Sigekiya and here are some of what we're able to try:
Sigekiya Ramen
The signature Sigekiya Ramen! Their noodles are thicker than the usual and the charsiu is nicely tender.

Shirunashi Ramen
Also known as the "Soupless Noodles". Just loaded with garlic to bring its flavor and the texture of the noodles. Also topped with freshly cracked egg, veggies and pork.

Gojira Ramen
The name Gojira is actually the Japanese name of Godzilla. This ramen bowl is indeed a monster because of its huge size and the amount of what's inside the bowl. Undoubtedly, this is one beast that ramen-lovers would really enjoy.

Curry Tantanmen
My favorite among the ramen we've tried! The broth has a spicy, chili flavored that's a bit creamy. It is also topped with a mixture of ground pork.

Tsukumen is a ramen dish in Japanese cuisine consisting of noodles which are eaten after being dipped in a separate bowl of soup or broth. Sigekiya offers Tsukumen Gyokai which is a combination of pork and fish broth, which brings out so much flavor, they also offer Tsukumen Curry which I really really enjoyed!

Gyoza are dumplings filled with ground meat and vegetables and wrapped in a thin dough. Honestly, I am not a fan of gyoza especially when I was able to try this gyoza from a Japanese restaurant which I won't mention the name as it was really bad. But this one with Sigekiya, it was indeed good plus points as it was big too!

Okonomiyaki is a Japanese savory pancake containing a variety. "Okonomi" - "how you like" or "what you like", and "yaki" - "cooked". Sigekiya's version is served in a mini-skillet pan, making it in a smaller size than the usual.

A delicious izakaya or bento box favourite, comprised of crunchy, deep fried pieces of marinated chicken. Sigekiya's chicken karaage is indeed good. One of the best I've tried.

Sigekiya Ramen tries its best to take us to Yokohama. Everything on their menu is made on site, even the noodles. They also let their customers personalize their spice level, which could go as far as Level 10 - not sure if I can make it alive or what if I tried this one LOL their meat is so tender! I super love their Curry Tantanmen, Tsukumen Curry and Kaarage.
