A sweet-tooth haven had recently been opened. The Dessert Museum – a museum that 1) provides educational history of the desserts as discussed by the tour guides of each room and can also be read on the walls of each room and 2) An instagrammable-haven for Millennials, kids-by-heart and sweet tooth.
As what was suggested by a friend who had been there already, visiting on a weekday is much suggested to avoid a long queue. My sisters and I decided to visit on a Thursday which gave us a longer time to enjoy each room as we had the place to ourselves. For each room you’ll be provided 15 minutes tops to take photos, and enjoy the free dessert given once you had tapped your digital wristband.
Being a kid-by-heart and a sweet tooth, I am more excited than my little sisters to explore these 8 yummy and cute dessert filled themed rooms:
From the hanging donuts, donuts designed walls and to sliding down the donut hole – Welcome to the first room:
DONUT ROOM.
Do you know that the Marshmallow Capital of the world is Ligonier, Nobie County, Indiana? Not really a fan of marshmallows (I don't eat marshmallows, except for smores :D) but this marshmallow room can be something I can be a fan of. Lol FYI, I just found out that MARSHMALLOW DON’T HAVE FATS – then maybe I should start eating marshmallows then? Thanks to this
MARSHMALLOW ROOM!
Are you naughty or nice? Choose between the two, but still meet in the middle and together be amazed by the
CANDY CANE GROVES. I believe this room has the most things to do compared to other rooms as this room has a see-saw, swing, or you can just simply enjoy the candy-store vibes of the room while enjoying your strawberry or blueberry macaroon.
Are you naughty or nice?
I SCREAM FOR ICE CREAM! A fruit Popsicle is given to this
ICE CREAM ROOM which can be enjoyed while taking photos and imagining you are Russell from Disney’s movie UP. Lol Here’s a trivia that you can learn once you enter this room: “It takes 50 licks to finish a scoop of ice cream” Agree? Lol, let’s start counting them. ;)
How would it feel being inside a Gumball machine? This
GUM BALL ROOM can have 7 people fit inside this inflatable Gumball machine, I just lie down inside while my sisters kept trying to keep their balance. While waiting for your turn to go inside the inflatable Gumball machine, try popping some bubbles outside or why not try to be trapped inside one? :)
This
GUMMY BEAR ROOM has gummy bear goodies stuck on its wall which I find so cute! Even the floor has gummy bear drawings. The room also has a trampoline which you never want to get off as it’ll bring out the child in you. Try lying down at the mini bath tubs filled with plastic candies.
Pink lovers will go-crazy over these
COTTON CANDY ROOM – amazed at how they built this Cotton Candy Forest. My sister wasn't able to stop herself, as she started touching the cotton candy tree checking if its real cotton candies or what. LOL Here’s a quick trivia: Cotton candy was first called as “fairy floss”.
Last but not the least – The
CAKE POP ROOM which will give you the chance to hop on a metal cake pops and you can start singing Wrecking Ball by Miley Cyrus, eh? Kidding aside! This room also has 3 basketball rings that has cute emoji (are they called emojis? Lol) balls that you play with.
The Dessert Museum was indeed a fun and a must try experience. ♥
